Tudor Road, Hackney,

London.

Mid nineteenth century two storey terraced house. Completely stripped down to the bare masonry walls and roof structure and then reconstructed following the pitched roof profile to gain maximum ceiling height. The new ground floor rear extension and side return was designed using a single span cranked steel beam which negated the need for intrusive vertical supports, therefore maximising the floor area. Attention was given to the use of natural daylight using large format roof-lights and Crittal patio doors and panels. The entire house was completely refurbished this included all services, finishes, fixtures and fittings.
